On May 3rd, 1999 the first Virginia Association of Regional Jails annual conference was held at the Fort Magruder Inn in Williamsburg, VA. This event turned out to be an overwhelming success. With over 240 in attendance and over 50 vendor exhibits, plans were made to continue this yearly gathering.

This year’s conference will feature a host of presenters to discuss emerging issues and hot topics, provide training on critical practices and much more! Additionally, we are looking forward to informal networking with VARJ’s partners and colleagues from across the Commonwealth.

Registration
Registration for this year’s conference should be completed online HERE. The conference registration fee for agencies is $550. This includes participation in all aspects of the conference for staff attendees. The conference registration fee for individuals is $60 and the nonmember rate is $275.
Hotel Information
Conference registrants are required to book their own hotel rooms. The original VARJ housing block at the Hilton is full. VARJ has reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates at two nearby locations. Both of the overflow hotels are within a five-minute walk from the conference hotel.

2024 VARJ Golf Tournament

VARJ Partners
We invite VARJ’s partners to attend the 2024 VARJ Annual Conference! This year’s conference will provide partners with access to superintendents and staff of Virginia’s Regional Jails. Additionally, partners will have various opportunities to engage through workshops, speaking opportunities, advertising, and informal networking.

All partners must register for the conference through our online registration system, HERE. Registered partners will receive a table in our vendor expo as well as access to all sessions and meals offered as a part of the conference registration. Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver partners receive complimentary registrations as follows:

Display Furniture:
Each vendor will be supplied with 1 – topped table and 2 chairs. Diamond and Platinum partners will receive two tables for a “large” exhibit space.
