About the Role
The Command of a specific Watch Commander tour of duty, with accountability for actions, productivity, assignments and performance of all subordinates under their authority and control. Supervision, management and the enforcement of all policies and procedures. Conduct all roll calls, unless emergencies or situations demand presence elsewhere, thereby delegating this assignment to the next ranking officer on duty. Provide leadership, training, guidance and discipline for Lieutenants and Sergeants, ensuring the efficiency of unit operations. Acquaint and familiarize themselves with the capabilities and overall job performance of Lieutenants and Sergeants under their authority. Monitor communication and/or responses by Lieutenants, Sergeants and subordinates to radio assignment s and initiate corrective action when applicable.

Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Behavior or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.**
